There are so many research works done in the field of Ayurveda in the context of Prameha roga (Diabetes). Many are still going on but in our country the occurrence of above disease is increasing at flying speed rather than decreasing. It is also noticeable that there is a very little percentage of cases where after starting any kind of medicine, the person gets cured and medicine stopped. It means that there is certainly something which we are missing. Being an Ayurvedic practitioner I think that through proper understanding the pathogenesis of above disease we could be much able to treat disease. It is most important to understand the pathogenesis of Prameha (Diabetes) in Ayurvedic concepts to use Ayurvedic medicines properly and effectively.
