Introduction: Pharmacovigilance is the study of drug-related injuries for the purpose of making warning or withdrawal recommendations for pharmaceutical products. Pharmacists play a vital role in every step of the pharmacovigilance process, which can prevent patients from undergoing unnecessary procedures or taking unwarranted drugs. Aim and Objectives: The main objective of this study is to assess the knowledge and awareness about different aspects of pharmacovigilance among pharmacists. Methodology: This was a cross-sectional study conducted for a period of six months. It’s a questionnaire-based survey among pharmacists who worked in different areas of settings. This questionnaire was prepared in the google form and shared to all pharmacists personally and also shared to different WhatsApp groups of pharmacists. Patient demographic details such as age, gender, education, job type etc. were collected and recorded. Results: A total of 174 participants were involved, 75 were males (42%) and 99 (58%) were females. The majority of pharmacists (98.3%) agreed that their pharmacovigilance knowledge should be updated on a regular basis. 36.2 % of pharmacists are unaware of how and where to report adverse drug reactions, and approximately 47.7% were unaware of the ADR reporting forms. Only 55.7% of pharmacists in this study were aware of the pharmacovigilance center, and the rest indicated no interest in learning more. Conclusion: This study concluded that the concept of pharmacovigilance should be given more importance in pharmacy degrees, Pharmacy authorities should provide periodic and mandatory training for ADR reporting, availability of ADR reporting forms, benefits of reporting etc.
