Early diagnosis and proper medication provide the best chance of cure for oral cancer patients. Different imaging modalities have been developed by researchers for oral lesion screening and various image analysis techniques have been proposed for analyzing the oral images for malignancy detection. This paper aims to review various works in the literature related to different techniques for oral lesion screening and analysis of oral images for the detection of oral malignancies.
