It is an important cause of ocular morbidity in India. It has higher incidence among lower socio economic status.&#13;
Objective: The goal of the present study was to find the occurrence of Chronic Dacryocystitis in rural area and to correlate it with socioeconomic status.&#13;
Material __ampersandsignamp; Methods: Our study is a cross-sectional hospital based study conducted from January 2019 to December 2019 in MVJ Medical College and Research Hospital, Hoskote.&#13;
Results: The Present study shows maximum number of patients belonged to the age group of 61-70 years (26.4%). Females were affected predominantly (52.8%). Most of the patients belonged to class III (39.6%) __ampersandsignamp; V (35.8%) of Revised B.G Prasad Socio-economic classification update 2019.&#13;
Conclusion: There is a correlation between Chronic Dacryocystitis with Low Socioeconomic status.&#13;
