Literature indicates that compounds having 1,3,4-Thiadiazole nucleus have wide range of pharmacological activities that include antibacterial, antifungal, antitubercular, antiviral, antileishmanial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, CNS depressant, anticonvulsant, anticancer, antioxidant, antidiabetic, molluscicidal, antihypertensive, diuretic. The present review provides a broad view of the anti-inflammatory activity possessed by compounds having a 1,3,4-Thiadiazole nucleus.
