accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse effect on health, leading to reduced life&#13;
expectancy and/or increased health problems. It is the one of the most rampantly growing&#13;
condition of the modern day. Accumulation of body fat due to various reasons has made&#13;
obesity an epidemic. Objective: Review the available literature to assess the importance of&#13;
various types of history, physiological basis of various managements and effect of exercise in&#13;
the management of obesity. Methodology: Published literature focusing the evaluation and&#13;
physiotherapeutic management of obesity was reviewed and commented. Conclusion: Exercise&#13;
plays a significant role in metabolizing fat and thereby reducing obesity.&#13;
