Since Ethanol possesses characteristic, properties that have positive influence on engine performance as well as exhaust emissions. This paper shows how ethanol can be used as fuel for SI Engines, Study is based on technical as well as quantitative data available from different researches. This__ampersandsignnbsp;Review paper is focused on two broad groups namely, effect of compression ratio and effect of ethanol blends on engine performance.&#13;
