The effects of dopants in the host L-alanine crystals have been investigated from growth, morphology, spectral and mechanical properties. Scanning Electron Microscopic (SEM) analysis was used to compare morphology of the grown crystals. The functional groups of the samples were identified by FTIR spectral analysis. The hardness of the crystals was found out by Vickers microhardness tester.
